As a result of Tropical Storm Cristobal, binding authority will be suspended in the entire state of LA, select counties in Florida, and select counties in Texas, all effective June 5, 2020, at 5:00 PM CST (6:00 PM EST).

Florida counties include: Bay, Escambia, Gulf, Okaloosa, Santa Rosa, and Walton

Texas counties include: Anderson, Angelina, Austin, Bowie, Brazoria, Brazos, Camp, Cass, Chambers, Cherokee, Colorado, Delta, Fannin, Fort Bend, Franklin, Freestone, Galveston, Gregg, Grimes, Hardin, Henderson, Harris, Harrison, Henderson, Hopkins, Houston, Hunt, Jefferson, Jasper, Kaufman, Lamar, Leon, Liberty, Madison, Marion, Matagorda, Montgomery, Morris, Nacogdoches, Newton, Orange, Panola, Polk, Rains, Rusk, Red River, Sabine, San Augustine, San Jacinto, Smith, Shelby, Titus, Trinity, Tyler, Upshur, Van Zandt, Walker, Waller, Washington, Wharton, and Wood.

UPC Insurance Binding Suspension Rule

Binding authority for new business or for increases in coverage on existing business is suspended until further notice. Renewals will only be issued on an "as expiring" basis for coverage and perils. Exceptions to the binding restriction may be considered for new home closings and should be submitted to Underwriting.
